Go Green With Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is one of those staples every household has, but we’re not always sure why. While it’s good for disinfecting cuts, rubbing alcohol can do so much more. What’s even better is that it can replace commercial cleaners and other harsh chemicals you’re using, simplifying your cabinet and making your life that much easier and more eco-friendly.

Clean Marks Off Of Nearly Anything

Life is messy and sometimes that mess gets out of hand. If your kids got sharpie on your favorite table or you need to give your whiteboard a deep cleaning, just spray some rubbing alcohol on it and wipe it down. It breaks up the ink, making it much easier for you to get a deep clean.

Make Your Mirrors Shine

How many of us buy a dozen different cleaners just to get the water spots and dirt off our mirrors? Well, you don’t need to do that. Just put some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, spritz your mirrors with it, and then dry it off with some paper towels. If you don’t have paper towels, you can even use newspapers. That’s the grease-cutting power of rubbing alcohol, properly applied.

Homemade Ice Packs

Whether you use them for muscle aches or to keep your lunch cool, chemical ice packs are one of those items we keep around the house for when we need them. But they can be a problem to dispose of. So, instead of using them, simply take a Ziplock bag and add two cups of water along with one cup of rubbing alcohol. Put it in the freezer and you get a slushy, functional ice pack.
